fraud accused granted bail - 31 July
A Vodacom employee accused of fraud worth R1.8-million was granted
bail on Friday in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court.
Mbokodana Khoza is alleged to have used his position as a Vodacom
engineer to intercept text messages with banking details, and use
that information to steal from accounts. Bail was set at R15 000.
Khoza did not have a passport, and was forbidden from getting one
as part of his bail requirements. He was also prohibited from
communicating with his fellow Vodacom engineers, and was required
to report to his local police station once a week. - IOL

'Syndicate
involved' in R1.8m Vodacom fraud - 31 July
A Vodacom employee accused of fraud worth R1.8-million was granted
bail on Friday in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court. State
prosecutor Richard Chabalala said Khoza was only one part of a
larger group which had stolen over R7-million. "A syndicate
