The High Court in Pietermaritzburg will continue hearing
argument next week in the bail application of Frank Nabolisa,
co-accused in the drug trafficking trial of Sheryl Cwele, the
wife of State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele. The police
claimed, in an affidavit presented to the court on Friday, that
Nabolisa was a flight risk, that he might interfere with the
investigation, that there was a strong case against him and that

asks for strict bail conditions for Nabolisa - 24 February
The High Court in Pietermaritzburg should impose strict bail
conditions on Frank Nabolisa if it does not trust him, his
lawyer argued on Thursday. "Make his bail high. Hit him
hard where it hurts most. Or even let him stay in his place of
residence and not allow him to get out", submitted

'innocent until proven guilty' - 25 February
Sheryl Cwele, wife of State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele,
will not be suspended by the Hibiscus Coast municipality after
being arrested on charges of drug dealing. This was decided by a
special executive committee meeting on Tuesday. Cwele, who was
arrested last month, is out on R100000 bail after being
implicated in the trafficking of drugs worth R3million between

for alleged fraudster - 25 February
The Pietermaritzburg High Court on Thursday granted bail of R5
000 to a former police station commissioner awaiting trial for
alleged theft and fraud. Judge Jerome Mnguni found that a
previous court ruling denying Hariram Badul, 60, bail had not
given sufficient weight to his health problems. He is to stand
trial on March 5 on charges of theft and fraud allegedly
involving R467 000 with co-accused, Superintendent Yunus Khan,
Captain Suresh Narainduth, Constable Patrik Nkabini and

aid ordered to pay fired cop's bills - 28 February
A Pietermaritzburg judge has ordered the police medical aid to
pay bills running into tens of thousands for a former station
commissioner facing charges of theft and fraud. Mountain Rise
police station commissioner Hariram Badul, 60, took Polmed to
court last month after it refused to pay his medical claims on
